Hollywood’s biggest night has taken place, honouring the industry’s greatest talent from the past 12 months. And what a night it was to celebrate for many many reasons.

Some highlights
Chloe Zhao took home the best director for “Nomadland”, becoming the second woman to claim this accolade. “Nomadland,” also snagged the top prize of the night, best picture.
Netflix led the field taking home seven trophies— two for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” two for “Mank” and then individual awards for best live-action short, best animated short and best documentary feature.
Disney received five, with three wins for “Nomadland” and two for “Soul.” Yuh-Jung Youn was awarded best supporting actress prize for Lee Isaac Chung’s “Minari” – becoming the first Korean performer to win at the ceremony in an acting category.
Pixar’s “Soul,” took home the best animated feature award, Pixar’s first film to feature a Black character in the lead.
