# New Features & Enhancements

## Improved support for offline review on mobile

- Added emails to notify that offline media is ready to transfer in case the mobile app does not start download due to iOS disabling background activity
- Added emails to notify that offline media is ready to review when all media for a given offline request is transferred successfully
- Enhanced API to support mobile app retry and transfer validation

## Expanded support of variable frame rate (VFR) media

- Added custom processing for variable frame rate media
- Added checks for variable frame rate media
- GOP Alignment was needed on variable frame rate media

## Improved Screeners experience

- Enabled API users to provide custom forensic ID
- Added additional browser support for API based streams

## Improved general performance of App

- Download options were slow to appear
- Users were not informed when download options are taking a long time to load
- Aspera messaging was impacting performance
- Player sometimes got stuck buffering if jumping around a lot

## Improved performance and reliability of Search

- Searching in asset groups was slow in large environments
- Searching by production was slow
- Improved performance of various search operations
- Production tag was missing from advanced search
- Searches displayed incorrect results

# Bug Fixes & Technical Updates

## Addressed issues with User Lists

- Searching user lists was slow with large user counts
- Backend was returning too much data for user lists

## Addressed issues with categorization form

- Categorization form loading slow 
- Categorization form showing incorrect tag orders
- Updated backend response for categorization

## Addressed reliability issues for Live Rooms

- Live Room recordings were not processing correctly

## Addressed high impact bugs

- Assets added prior to Core V6 create various issues
- Forensic watermarks not processing when production watermarks applied
- Improved validation of download options to prevent UI errors
- Forensic 'Shield' icon obstructing the asset name
- Sort Ascendency not working with Group View On
- Player sometimes gets stuck buffering if jumping around a lot
- Images were appearing more than once in group view
- Users receive 500 error when search results are empty

## Improved performance and reliability of Infrastructure

- Some services not restarting properly
- Backend search service requires upgrading
- Add additional monitoring for infrastructure services to aid troubleshooting
- Backend services can get rate limited and may need manual overrides
