# Core 7.5.6 Release Notes

Improved SSO experience, download reliability, package workflows, and UI refinements.

## Summary

Core 7.5.6 delivers a collection of usability improvements, bug fixes, and SSO enhancements designed to streamline login, sharing, downloads, and day-to-day workflows. This release also includes several UI refinements that improve consistency and reliability throughout the platform.

## Single Sign-On (SSO)

- **Improved SSO onboarding notifications**  
New SSO user welcome emails now provide clearer account information using a consistent, configurable notification template.

- **Custom SSO login button now supported on mobile**  
Mobile apps now display the same SSO login button text configured for your Core site, creating a consistent login experience across web and mobile.

- **Password fields disabled for SSO users**  
Users authenticated through SSO can no longer attempt to update passwords within Core, eliminating unnecessary error messages and providing a clearer user experience.

- **Enhanced SSO landing page experience**  
The SSO landing page has been updated with clearer navigation, redirection to the Inbox after close, and a more consistent experience that aligns with the standard Core landing page.

- **Improved post-login landing page behavior**  
Fixed inconsistencies that could cause users to be redirected to the wrong destination after signing in.

## Downloads & Transfers

- **Downloaded files now retain their correct names**  
Fixed an issue where files downloaded in bulk could appear as "NONAME" in the Transfers panel.

- **"Select All" now works correctly in Downloads**  
The Select All option in the Downloads section now consistently selects every available item.

- **Updated Aspera Connect installer**  
Core now provides the latest supported version of Aspera Connect for improved download compatibility and performance.

## Packages & Sharing

- **Improved Add to Package workflow**  
Adding assets to a newly created package now correctly includes the selected assets.

- **Shared package links now redirect correctly after login**  
Users opening shared package links are now taken directly to the intended Asset Viewer after authentication.

- **Recipient status is easier to understand**  
Recipient status indicators have been updated to match the color coding used elsewhere in Core, making package activity easier to interpret at a glance.

## Asset Viewer & Inbox

- **Improved asset loading in Inbox**  
Fixed an issue where assets could disappear when switching between List and Thumbnail views.

- **Improved package editing stability**  
Resolved a problem that could cause the Asset Viewer to become unresponsive when removing assets from a package.

## Performance & Platform Improvements

- **Sharing workflow performance enhancements**  
Refactoring behind the sharing experience improves maintainability and provides a more responsive, consistent user experience.
