Some of the obvious questions that might come up whilst using ClearView Rush

July 16, 2026

## Can we all watch a review together, live?

ClearView Rush is designed for reviewing in your own time — everyone watches independently, whenever suits them. For live, synchronised viewing with your colleagues, ask Sohonet about **[ClearView Flex](/content/product/clearview-flex/index.html)**.

## Why can't I share a review?

Three things to check:

- **Is it published?** Only published reviews can be shared — a draft is visible only to its creator until it's [published](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/742878-create-a-review-in-the-rush-portal#h_20d1d31760).

- **Is the person on your project?** You can only share with people who are already on the project — if someone new needs access, ask whoever manages your workspace.

- **Does your role include sharing?** Not every role can share — the [glossary](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/742915-glossary) explains what each role can do.

## What's the difference between sharing a review and a workflow?

[Direct sharing](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/742852-direct-sharing) hands a review to specific people you choose, then and there. An [automated workflow](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/742862-automated-workflows) shares it for you — moving it through set stages, one audience at a time. You just watch and, if you're a releaser, pass it on; there's no distribution list to keep.

## Why is there a watermark on the picture?

The watermark identifies who is watching and is part of your production's security settings — it can't be turned off in the player. If you have a question about it, talk to whoever manages your production's workspace.

## Why can't I publish my review yet?

After you upload, Rush generates previews for your media — a transcoding step that can take a while for larger uploads. A review can't be published until all its media has finished, so if there's no **Publish** option yet, previews are still being generated. See [Create a review in the Rush Portal](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/742878-create-a-review-in-the-rush-portal).

## My upload keeps failing — what can I do?

Rush retries automatically if your connection drops briefly. If it can't recover you'll see **Transfer Failed** — just run the transfer again. Keep the browser tab open while it's going; you can move around the Portal, but closing the tab stops the upload. If transfers keep failing it's usually something in your network path, so contact Sohonet support.

## Can I leave the page while my files upload?

Yes — the transfer keeps running while you move around the Portal, as long as you keep the browser tab open. Closing the tab interrupts it.

## Why is a clip missing from my dailies reel?

Clips are matched to your ALE by name, so a file whose name doesn't match its ALE row won't line up. At **Check Metadata** the unmatched row is flagged — add the missing file, or rename it to match the ALE, and it re-checks. See [If files and metadata don't line up](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/742878-create-a-review-in-the-rush-portal#h_8d5a3f01cd).

## Do I need a scene list for a cut?

No — it's recommended but optional. Without one your cut still publishes, but there's no scene breakdown and it plays as a single piece rather than named, navigable scenes.

## Which devices and browsers can I use?

The latest Chrome or Safari on Mac or Windows, or the ClearView Rush app on iPad — see [System requirements](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/324707-clearview-rush-system-requirements).

I can't log in — I've forgotten my password or never finished setting up

If you forgot your password, never finished setup, lost your invitation email, or your link says **Link Expired**, send yourself a fresh one: from the login page click **Log In**, then **Reset password**, and follow the email to set a password. See [Reset your password](https://help.sohonet.com/en/articles/747560-reset-your-password).
